Sueno sobre un jaleo

A musical love-letter to Spanish music, for four female voices embedded in the orchestra as instruments rather than soloists. Texts are traditional flamenco songs, in Spanish. The singers are also required to do hand and footwork, as are the percussionists and some brass players.

The piece draws on various Spanish and flamenco forms such as solea, saeta and jota.
